Current Buff App Issues:
Hello Buff App users! We hope you are enjoying the Buff app, and more importantly that it’s helping to benefit you and your workouts!
Here is a current list of known issues we are working on at the moment:
App Unable to Load / App Not Working: Please log out and log back into your account. This is a known issue and we are working to get it fixed as soon as possible.
Unable to begin plans issue: There is a known issue where upon starting a plan, you are not able to begin the first day. The current fix is to log out and log back into your account, but we are working to fix this so it does not happen at all.
We appreciate your feedback in letting us know of these current issues and will constantly work hard to stay on top of them and get them fixed as soon as we can. We appreciate your understanding and support! -Hudson

There is no way to change the settings on the buzz of haptics when clicking different body part.

My app on start up says “Failed to load” in read at the bottom of the screen. The app will open but there will be nothing accessible and I receive error messages. Idk if it’s a known issue or not.

Hello Alejandro – when you’re in an active plan on the world map (where you see the weight plates numbered 1, 2, 3, etc.), click on the red icon on the top right in order to quit an active plan. Hope that helps!

Hello Corey, can you e-mail me at [email protected] – let’s get this issue fixed asap! Typically you should have no issue signing up using either e-mail or your Google account.

If you have kg selected and want to add 0.5 kg (e.g., 17.5), you can’t enter the decimal place because the input expects a ”.”, but the keyboard only provides a ”,” in our system. As a result, it’s not possible to enter decimal values for kg.

Hello Kai, thank you for making me aware of that! I had no idea the “.” wasn’t available on your keyboard. We will look into having both the “.” and “,” as options!

Loving the app but one thing that seems missing that I use all the time with another app (Strong) is the Apple Watch app to start, update and finish workouts all from the watch itself without having to use my phone. It’s a really useful feature that I’d love to see on the Buff app!

Hi Luke. Thanks for the feedback! We definitely don’t want you using our app and losing out on features. We’re exploring the integration with fitness watches now and once we’ve taken care of some of the issues with this current build, we will immediately begin exploring how to implement the ability to use a fitness watch in our app. I’ve had a Garmin watch for years and I love the thing, so it’d be super helpful for me too.

Thank you so much! That means a lot to us because that was definitely our goal! Nintendo, Apple and Duolingo were big influences on us in regards to keeping it fun, memorable and easy to use. We will continue to work on the app to make it even better!

so first of all, thank you for the app and basically what’s really happening all the time is that the app sometimes as I go in it doesn’t show me the workout. There is the logo that keeps running in circles and I can’t see the workout so maybe like an hour it doesn’t upload what’s next so that’s an issue that sometimes I can’t see my workout at the same day

Hello Lior! Hmm, that sounds very irritating. Sorry that’s happening to you! It would be extremely helpful if I could get the phone you’re using (iOS or Android) and the version of the phone as well. Additionally, would it be possible if you did a “screen record” as it’s happening? You can send it my way at [email protected]. I think it should have been a test phase, I fill that I need to pay to use the app and I really want to use it

Hi Martin, you feel what should have been a test phase? We extensively beta tested the app for months before launch but things unfortunately are still bound to happen when you have thousands of users (all with different phones and operating systems) begin using the app simultaneously. It’s been less than a week since launch and we are planning to have every major issue resolved this week. Hope your experience otherwise has been a good one!

It would be really great if there was like a stats only subscription so we can use the custom routine feature to track our own plans and still help fund this great community you’ve made over the years with a more affordable/competitive fee 🙂 the Strong app I’ve been using was £30 for the year and would happily rather pay that to you guys as this app offers similar features!!
I’ve already bought the cutting plan and Hypertrophy off the website separately (actually on day 6, week 3 of phase 4 completing the plan tomorrow been amazing lost two stone!) so would be great to manually add them in and just track the stats and progress!
Great idea with the app though!

Hey dudes! I have been running into an issue with the app where my workout timer will stop as I when I am in the middle of my workout and it won’t accurately record my time. I noticed it first when I accidently clicked out of the plan, and the last time I made sure I only had the app open the entire time without clicking away and it still paused the timer. Do you have any recommended fixes? Loving the app so far and I appreciate all the work that you have already done

Yes sir currently using version 1.1.3 on android. The last 2 times I noticed it happened was after I marked a set as complete. I will try it again today to see if I get the same result and let you know!

Hey it worked fine this time. The last 3 times I may have gotten toi close to the cancel or finish workout button maybe because I had no issues this time. It could just be user error – sorry about that!

Hi,
I’m not sure if it’s a bug or if I did something that I shouldn’t have done. I removed some of the custom routines that I created and used the last few days and it looks like that has affected the history in my Dashboard.
In the summary table at the top of my profile it does say that I did 4 workouts, but then the History is empty.

Buff Dudes, you’ve got the best fitness app by far! The gamification of the process is an amazing idea and I really enjoy the app interface. Can’t wait for the Mike Mentzer workout plan!
One thing is an issue though. Some of the muscles/body parts look a little off in the Exercise section with the picture of a body with different muscle groups (front as well as back). For example, shoulders shifted a few millimeters to the right from the rest of the body.
It’s not a big deal but you might want to look into that.
Other than that, great job, love it!
